RaveSafe has quite a few email lists. These use standard list servers. Most of these are open public groups, unless otherwise mentioned.
There are a few ground rules for all these lists:
- No commercialism or advertising
- No personal vandettas
- Stick to the essence and scope of the respective list
- PLUR rules!
upbeat This is the announce-only RaveSafe list. It is used to let people know whats new on the ravesafe page, and to dispense with any urgent information we might come across. It's not a discussion forum and you can only recieve messages we send out, which is not more than once a month.

We get a lot of enquiries from people wanting to get a RaveSafe going from around the world, so it is a good idea to use this as way of networking: the sharing ideas & experiences. We can all help each other.
You will also find people posting articles from the press, ideas for fundraising, reports or successes or failures. Post whatever you think might be off general interest and assistance to the functioning of RaveSafe chapters

know This is an open public list for people who are specifically interested in researching, discussing and developing new material for our web site and printed media. Members don't have to be active RaveSafe members, but they should understand the harm reduction approach that we use. Medical professionals and social workers in the field are most welcome.

This is the a list orientation at people who are working in the broader field of Harm Reduction in Southern Africa, specifically to promote and facilitate the organisation of a Harm Reduction coalition in this region.

Chapter / Group Lists
There are some South African Regional lists (Gauteng, Cape Town, Durban), but they are for active members. Here notice of meetings and minutes are posted. You have to become active in those groups to be on any of those lists. For any other chapters starting up, if you don't have a connection with a list server somewhere, try and use one of the free list server services on the 'net.
