psst have you heard ...

Spreading a nasty rumour is a very horrible thing to do. Most of the time, it is mis-information that is maliciously spread. It normally starts off as a vague notion, a grudge, or a drug-induced moment of paranoia and after a few people have repeated it, they are talking about it as though it was fact. The sad thing is that it is such a terrible thing for the person concerned to have everyone talking about them, without them knowing it, or being able to defend themselves. They are judged, tried and convicted without them even knowing the charges or that they are on trial.

Because of the 'underground' nature of the rave scene where generally illegal drugs are taken and all that goes with it, there are bound to be some people who's intentions are misread, or maybe they do not seem to fit in like the rest. The next thing is that everyone is saying they are an undercover cop or something stupid. This can go on for ages without that person knowing - they are shunned, shyed away from, mistrusted etc. This is not the spirit of rave! This situation could be anywhere: at your work, your school, wherever, it could be you they are talking about. Set the example and do the right thing:
